01Who We Are
This website, geisheker.com, is operated by The Geisheker Group, Inc. (“The Geisheker Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a B2B fractional CMO firm based in Watertown, Wisconsin. We provide senior marketing leadership to businesses: strategy, messaging, and management of our clients’ marketing teams and vendors.
For personal information collected through this website and our marketing activities, The Geisheker Group is the business responsible for that information (the “controller” under European and UK law). You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
02What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies when you:
- Visit geisheker.com or any of our landing pages
- Fill out a form, book a working session, or email or call us
- Receive marketing or business outreach from us
- Work with us as a client, partner, or vendor contact
It does not cover third-party websites or services we link to, which have their own privacy policies. Where we handle data on behalf of a client as part of an engagement, our agreement with that client also applies (see Client Data).
03Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your first and last name, business email, company website, and your message.
- Booking a working session: when you schedule through Calendly, your name, email, company website, role, annual revenue range, the marketing problem you want solved, and anything else you choose to share.
- Communications: the content of emails, calls, video meetings, and notes we take during them.
- Client engagements: business contact details for your team, and business information you provide so we can deliver our services.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and language.
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring website, links clicked, and approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Cookies and Analytics.
Information from other sources
- Public business sources: such as company websites, LinkedIn profiles, press coverage, and business directories.
- B2B data providers: business contact information (such as name, title, company, and business email) that we may use for outreach to business professionals.
- Referrals: from partners, clients, or contacts who introduce us to you.
We collect business information about business professionals. We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information.
04How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the purposes below. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, the table also shows the legal basis we rely on.
| Purpose | Examples | Legal basis (EEA/UK) |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to you | Replying to messages, answering questions, scheduling and running working sessions | Legitimate interests; steps at your request before a contract |
| Delivering our services | Preparing your written growth plan, running client engagements, managing projects | Performance of a contract; legitimate interests |
| Business development | Sending relevant business outreach and insights to business professionals | Legitimate interests; consent where required |
| Improving our website | Measuring traffic, understanding which pages help visitors, fixing problems | Consent (for non-essential cookies); legitimate interests |
| Security and fraud prevention | Filtering spam form submissions, protecting our systems | Legitimate interests |
| Legal and administrative | Record keeping, taxes, enforcing agreements, responding to lawful requests | Legal obligation; legitimate interests |
We do not use your personal information to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
05Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them in the following categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for the website to work, such as remembering your cookie choices and protecting forms from spam. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 (through Google’s Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site, in aggregate. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
- Functional: features such as embedded scheduling and social sharing buttons may set their own cookies when you use them.
- Advertising: if we run advertising campaigns, we may use advertising pixels to measure results and reach people who visited our site. Where required by law, these run only with your consent.
Your cookie choices
We use CookieYes to manage consent. When you first visit, you can accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using the button below or the cookie icon on the site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There is no common standard for how websites respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, so we do not respond to them. Where required by applicable law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser.
07Client Data
When you hire us, you may give us access to business information such as marketing performance data, CRM records, advertising accounts, and internal documents. We treat that information as confidential. We use it only to deliver the services you engaged us for, share it only with people and vendors who need it to do that work, and handle it according to our agreement with you. When we process personal information inside your systems on your behalf, we act as your service provider (a “processor”), and your own privacy policy governs that data.
08Our Use of AI Tools
AI is part of how we work, from research and analysis to drafting plans and content. When we use AI tools, we choose services and settings that do not use the information we enter to train their public models, and we do not enter a client’s confidential information into tools that would. A senior member of our team reviews AI-assisted work before it reaches you.
09Marketing Communications
We may send business-related emails and messages to business professionals about marketing leadership, insights, and our services. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and we honor opt-out requests promptly, within the time the law requires. You can also opt out at any time by emailing [email protected]. Even after you opt out, we may still send messages needed to respond to you or to run an active engagement.
10How Long We Keep Information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Contact form messages and booking details | Up to 3 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a client |
| Client and contract records | For the length of the engagement plus up to 7 years, for legal, tax, and accounting purposes |
| Marketing and outreach lists | Until you opt out or the information is no longer relevant; opt-out records are kept so we can honor your choice |
| Website analytics | According to our Google Analytics data retention settings, after which Google deletes the data |
| Backups | Routinely overwritten on a rolling schedule |
When we no longer need information, we delete it or anonymize it so it can no longer identify you.
11How We Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access limited to people who need it, strong authentication on our accounts, spam and abuse filtering, and regular backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities where the law requires.
12Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights:
- Access: ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Portability: receive your information in a portable format.
- Opt out: of marketing, and of any sale, sharing, or targeted advertising use of your information (we do not sell or share it).
- Restriction and objection (EEA/UK): ask us to limit or stop certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent: at any time, where we rely on consent.
- Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and others, may have the rights listed above as those laws apply. California residents: in the past 12 months we collected the categories of information described in Information We Collect (identifiers, professional or employment information, internet activity, and approximate geolocation) for the purposes in How We Use Your Information, and we did not sell or share personal information or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics.
EEA and UK rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
How to make a request
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us what you would like us to do. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming details we already have, before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of their authority. We respond within 45 days (or one month in the EEA and UK), and will let you know if we need more time. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response with “Appeal” in the subject line, and we will respond to the appeal as the law requires.
13International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers’ participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
14Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15Third-Party Links and Services
Our site links to and embeds third-party services, including Calendly for scheduling, social media sharing buttons, and external articles. When you use those services, the third party’s privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so we encourage you to review their policies.
16Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If we make material changes, we will provide more prominent notice, such as a notice on our website. This version is effective as of September 23, 2026.
