How to market your company in a down economy

The conventional wisdom among businesses is to slow down their marketing during a recession to save operating capital. The problem is that it is a huge mistake to do so because when you reduce your marketing, your sales drop very quickly, causing even more financial difficulties for your business. But, because it is the norm, it represents a huge opportunity to grab market share by smart companies who are willing to aggressively market during a recession. If your competitors are marketing less and you are marketing more, you take market share away from them.

I am in fact taking my own advice and I have increased my company's marketing because of the economic slowdown and it paying off amazingly well. Our leads have increased and our sales have increased. With the way my business is growing, one would think we were in a strong bull market.

So, the message is, KEEP MARKETING!

InstantBuzz by Mike Filsaime - complete garbage

An Internet Marketing Tool You Should NOT Buy

I recently purchased the product InstantBuzz by Mike Filsaime and I have to say that it is worthless. Even signing up for the free version is a waste of your time. I made the mistake of buying an upgrade and lost my money. I hope you will not make the same mistake I did.

The importance of your sales copy in internet marketing

Hello everyone,

Do you know what the most important, yet rarely talked
about aspect of Internet marketing is?

Your sales copy.

That's right! No matter what kind of methods and
techniques you use to get traffic to your site, if you
don't have an effective sales letter, you're not going
to make any sales.

Yet, virtually all the info you find on this subject is,
at best, general info: "Use benefit packed statements,"
"Talk TO your reader, not AT him," "Use bulleted lists,"
etc. etc. This kind of advice really doesn't help you.

What if I told you that I found a product that will allow
you to quickly and easily create a sales letter, in only
2 1/2 minutes, that is guaranteed to sell your product
or service...without writing?

That's right. You just fill in the blanks and you've
instantly got a winning sales letter, guaranteed to bring
in the sales.

And, if you get yourself a copy of these powerful sales
letter templates by midnight tonight, you'll also receive
some bonus gifts that will blow your mind, including "The
Ultimate Sales Letter Toolbox." This free bonus alone will
increase your sales dramatically.

Among other things, the "Toolbox" contains over 300 of the
greatest selling words and phrases, over 20 powerful ways to
state your guarantee, over 30 closings that make your
prospects whip out their wallets, and over 30 P.S.'s that
make readers buy.

Increase your sales now by getting yourself a copy of
"Instant Sales Letters" by clicking here.

Most important internet marketing website tips

Today I worked on preparing a marketing program for a new client. After reviewing my client's website, I want to offer a few pointers for creating a business website and Internet marketing.

1. DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEBSITE TEXT IN ALL CAPS. IT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE YOU ARE SHOUTING AT YOUR CUSTOMERS. IT IS ALSO HARD TO READ.

2. Do not make your links the same color as your body text. Finding links should NOT be an Easter Egg hunt. Make your links a different color than the rest of your text so your customers can actually find your links.

3. Break up large blocks of text with sub-headlines. It makes it easier to read your website and it draws people into your text so they keep reading.

4. Include your contact information on every page of your website or at least provide a link to your contact information on every page of your website. A big part of making sales online is building trust, and it is hard to trust a company that does not provide a phone number.

That is all for today.

Thanks for reading.
